To be a guest on Windows to Wellness - your message should be one of healing, self-help or empowerment. Credentials are not as important as your intention and the message being conveyed. I will need a photo, a small paragraph about your show and what you want to discuss, and contact information that you want presented on the program (website, phone, etc)
What to Expect All shows are approximately one hour in length. There will be four segments (each approximately 14 minutes in length) with PSAs or reflective music in between each segment. You will be pre-recorded by telephone, so if you hiccup, cough, lose your train of thought, etc, we can stop the recording and proceed. No worries about making mistakes, or wishing you had said something a different way. Because we are pre-recording, there will be no incoming telephone calls during the program, but you are welcome to invite colleagues or clients to speak during the interview process.
About Radio Free Nashville Windows to Wellness airs on Radio Free Nashville - a low power 100 watt FM radio station that airs locally in Pasquo, TN. Your show will air immediately after Democracy Now which is a widely listened to broadcast. Not only will your show be heard by regular listeners of Windows to Wellness, it's also likely that you will pick up Democracy Now listeners as well. Radio Free Nashville is non-profit station, therefore, no commercial advertising is allowed during the program. We can, however, give out your website and contact information several times during the interview. Because of the non-profit status of Radio Free Nashville, there is no fee to be interviewed or have your show air on this station.
Fee for Bandwidth Charges & Editing There is, however, a $75 fee to cover bandwidth charges (streaming audio) and editing. This total fee of $75 is payable by check and must be received in advance of the broadcast. This fee covers a 55 minute interview that you can link to (or receive an mp3 file), streaming on my Search Engine Optimized Blog, and streaming on Itunes for over 1 year so that people all over the world can hear your broadcast.
Exposure - Your radio interview will air on www.radiofreenashville.org on a Thursday at 1pm Central. - It will also be featured on my blog (which pings search engines and multiple social networking sites). - It will also be uploaded to iTunes to my podcast where I've had over 24,000 downloads to date. On iTunes, people all over the world can hear your broadcast. - An announcement will be emailed to my list of subscribers that features you, your photo, your topic and your contact information.
Release Form You will be asked to sign a release form which will allow me to use your voice (or written quotes from your program) on future projects which may be offered for sale to the public. If your voice or your words are included in a printed book, or audio book, produced by me, this will give you and your message additional exposure to a wider audience. Your contact information will be included in the audio or printed product. All proceeds of sales of audio programs (that have previously aired on Radio Free Nashville) will be shared 50/50 with the non-profit radio station.
